IS The Real Hair Truth "documentary" truly a doc·u·men·ta·ry, [dok-yuh-men-tuh-ree, -tree] adjective, noun, plural -ries. –adjective
1. pertaining to, consisting of, or derived from documents: adocumentary history of France. 2. Movies, Television . based on or re-creating an actual event, era, life story, etc., that purports to be factually accurate and contains no fictional elements: a documentary life ofGandhi. Perhaps a better title would be a I-have-suspicionentary, or a hunchumentary, but facts are running pretty short in this strange and obviously biased film. Joseph Kellner keeps telling everyone that will listen, and now uses a fakumentary to continue telling us that the product companies he rails agaisnt are "diverting" products to public retail outlets. ARE they divereted or pirated, counterfeited and/or diverted? Wouldn't the job of a "documentary" be to prove this claim? Both Paul Mitchell and Redken have staff members devoted to investigating claims of "diversion". Here are some interesting photos where thousands of cases of counterfeit Paul Mitchell products can be purchased in China that have absolutely nothing to do with "divereted" products. They are easy to find on the internet in less than 2 seconds. At first I wondered by Kellner couldn't find them, but then I realized that he didn't look for them because this wouldn't further his agenda of proving diversion. Since I'm not promoting the idea of diversion, I'm simply looking for the truth, it was pretty easy for me to find out what was going on.
While Joseph Kellner rails against "diverted" product companies like Paul Mitchell, he instructs fellow hairdressers to NOT carry any diverted products and tells us that he "would never sell diverted products" in his "salon". We're already addressed the fact that he doesn't HAVE a salon, he rents a chair. So, as Kellner likes to say "Put your money where your mouth is". Does HE? He states - "I carry a full line of Brocato, KMS, Goldwell and MoroccanOil Haircare products for home use." So... IF Kellner is telling us the truth he would never carry products sold in the drug store, supermarkets or on Ebay because all of these sources are "diverted". ![]() Here you can see that the hair care lines sold by Kellner are ALL available on Ebay (a diverted source!) with Brocato showing 156 sales, KMS showing 2001 sales and Moroccan Oil showing 1,319 sales. It looks like Joseph Kellner DOES sell products that are also sold in diversion venues. Joseph Kellner also stated - "We use Goldwell Haircolor, Scruples Haircolor and Framesi Haircolor for all salon services." Let's check them out too? ![]() Kellner also forgot to mention this Consumer Affairs report discussing counterfeit, stolen and outdated products. Should THIS kind of information in included in a "documentary"? Isn't this exactly what John Paul Dejoria from Paul Mitchell has been saying for years? Hair care products aren't the only counterfeit product out there. CNN lists the top 10 counterfeit products available here. Paul Mitchell isn't the only hair care company that is getting ripped off by counterfeiters!
So, instead of treating as victims, the companies that have been damaged by counterfeiters and theives, Kellner instead BLAMES these same companies for damaging THEMSELVES??? Since Joseph has simply decided to ignore all of the facts that were available to him for his "documentary"... Let's see what Kellner does in his own business... So it looks like ALL THREE color lines Kellner uses are also on the divertion list of products he hates, yet uses. I would say that calling a documentary "The Real Hair Truth" isn't looking as truthful as it should. Instead it looks like Kellner has an axe to grind with some hair care and hair color companies under the supposed pretense that they are "diverted" yet is happy to use and sell other "diverted" products in his salon (chair). I have personally disproved his statements about beauty schools, and I have now disproven his statements about not using diverted products. Now, how can he belittle and redicule other hairdressers for doing the EXACT SAME THING HE DOES? Another curious thing about Kellner is that at the same time he is teaching other hairdressers to have nothing to do with companies that divert their products, he claims to have been trained on his educational references -
Remember, Kellner hates Paul Mitchell and Sexy Hair (not to mention MANY others) yet he is proud enough of his eduction that he lists his education providers which include Vidal Sassoon (sold in grocery stores), Scruples (sold on Ebay), Sebastian (sold on Ebay & grocery stores), Goldwell (sold on Ebay and in grocery stores), Toni & Guy (sold on Ebay and in grocery stores), Nioxin (sold on Ebay and in grocery stores), Paul Mitchell (sold EVERYWHERE), Wella (sold on Ebay and in grocery stores, Matrix (sold EVERYWHERE), Logics (sold on Ebay and in grocery stores), Loreal (Sold EVERYWHERE including 26,468 sales on Ebay!), Framesi (sold on Ebay and in grocery stores). It appears that Joseph Kellner hates the diversion of the companies he hates, but he is perfectly accepting of education provided by diversion companies, he uses products made by diversion companies and he sells products behind his rental chair of diversion products, and all the while producing a documentary that rails against diversion products and mocks, belittles and redicules other hairdressers for supporting the very same companies that HE supports! Kellner claims advanced training at a Sassoon Academy and goes on to glow about Vidal Sassoon even to the point of including a photo. Which story is true?
Kellner told me on July 11, 2011 that I was the "ONLY person that had given him a bad review" on his film. I have since spoken with or read several reviews dating from December of 2010 through July of 2011. I wonder if he told each of us that we were the first negative review? In fact, I've found very little about this documentary OR Joseph Kellner that I could trust. This is where he claims to be a BBB (Better Business Bureau accredited business. ![]() So, I went to the BBB.org web site and looked him up. ![]() This looks like Kellner is NOT BBB accredited. ![]() This looks like Kellner's makeup is not BBB accredited either. At this point... I have some REAL problems with Joseph Kellner's credibility and feel the need to check every single fact that he presents. THIS is the REAL Truth about The Real Hair Truth. I have found in fact, that there is very little "truth" in this supposed truthful documentary!
As far as I can tell, there is absolutely NOTHING about this so-called "documentary" that is documentaryish at all. This is simply a hack-job of companies that Kellner is mad at for some unknown reason. Before you accept the "facts" in this horrible little home movie, do some research on your own! |
